Venus Williams wins 49th career title with Taiwan Open victory



Seven-time Grand Slam champ Venus Williams beat Misaki Doi 6-4 6-2 to win the inaugural Taiwan Open on Sunday.

Top seed Williams, 35, defeated the Japanese player to guarantee the 49th title of her 21-year proficient profession.
